Jasmine Tee

Jasmine flower tea,
bloomin' lovely!

£2.75 & a roll of scotch tape

That's what abbie needs to make a fish-eye camera
or a "duck" says lyd-yah.

I took more photographs yesterday than the entire of Febuary, there are a lot more than these here if any of you want to see them just ask; also I've got them in a waaayy higher resolution individually.
-
Jenny Holzer in Newcastle, I heard so much and got so little aside from a headache and a telling off from the Baltic staff. As impressive as the top floor is, she kind of does what Rachel Whiteread does in that one LED piece was successful so she made loooooads that were all about the same, kind of like those (in my opinion) terrible inverted house casts.

books, old and new.

photography stuff,

This is from the Transcriptions brief
:)
all the photographys ye olde SLR
no digital nonsense.

multiple exposure

negative taken from enlarged positive, oooh!

Screen Prints :)

(this one's only one layer,)

& back to photography, done with sparklers!
a bugger to find in january i tell you.

long exposure bush, i thought it was rubbish at the time so i never bothered to sort out the terrible border. But in retrospect it's my favourite out of the lot of them!

Screen print, i apologise for the vitaligo.. i didn't realise it on the original 'till i printed it.
Teach her to be so pretty.

This one's on muuuch thinner paper,
hence the wrinkles.

Emulsion transfers..

I uploaded the final designs from this a while back, so if you just go back to March then workyworkworkwork they're there, if you really care.
Thank you to Jenny, Peter, Danny, Matriona, Ben, Lucy and Robin for running around with torches on their saturday nights
:)

But mostly thank you to Lydds, for being photogenic and letting me manipulate her face!

Liverpool

go go go go go to this exhibition in Liverpool Tate if you're over that way, it's got a light-y up dancefloor and Ghost by Ron Mueck, which is ever so impressive in real life!

or, go to the Bluecoat and see Quin's work, it's actually quite impressive, and you get to hear members of the public finding deep meaningful answers to 300 pieces arranged in an almost overwhelming way and each one's pretty much the same..!

nom nom nom, egg(plant) cafe, off renshaw street, vegetarian/vegan food (i feel the need to point out Peter is in no way turning me) it's really cheap and reeeeally nice, with free pasta salad and stuff :)

& grand central arcade (formerly Quiggins) anyone who's ever been to liverpool should've been here, it's remenicent of the Dark Arches in Leeds but more plentiful & built like a maze in the old guadi-style theatre.

:)

p.s.
the uni was allright.
but it didn't have a dark room.
or a library..

bendy

look at it, it's escaaaaaapiiiiiing!

Daan Saath

so so so so so i visited my brother with my other brother down in Framlingham (I didn't know about that place either) and just in this village nearby (I want to say Leyton but don't quote me) was this aaamazing thing dubbed "House In The Clouds" which looks particulally fantastic on such a sunny day
:D
I want to go, but at £700 a night I'll have to marry in to money.

I rather want to do some letter-press stuff at college (will do one day, because we can.) but i found these ye olde ex-press wooden ..blocks in snape maltings, and managed to spell me name out of all the wrong letters, as all the good ones were gone, boo! but i bought them anyways, to make a door-plaque for uni for some reason...

Last activity in the south, in preperation for out FMP (final majow project), which is based around "escape", i invested in some tiiiny men to put in silly places as a starting point. more to keep myself busy than anything.. anyway, there are pictures of them in more relevant escape-e locations but this picture shows off my brothers gnarley mole scar ever-so-well

eeeeeew!

hehehe
